Monterey's Prayer Pager ministry celebrates its first year April 2008. Since
its beginning, the Touching Hearts ministry has encouraged members in crisis by offering prayer and sending anonymous pages. THPP Teams are assigned to each pager holder bringing nurturing care and a familiar voice for those in need. This ministry has expanded to serve Monterey members and their immediate families in the Lubbock area. If you would like to refer someone for a pager, please contact Ben Pickett at the church office.

"When I was first diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, some wonderful people from our Small Group presented me with a prayer pager. We pray to God for all of our needs, wants and desires. The prayer pager provided me with a means for God to talk directly to me….. through all of the prayer warriors He provided, not only in Lubbock but from all over Texas and the United States. From the very beginning of my diagnosis, I felt a peace about the entire situation; however, fear and anxiety did creep in from time to time.
