Butch & Jody Davis
Edwin Eugene "Butch" Davis has been serving at Monterey since 1982, and became an Elder in 2006. He and his wife, Jody, have four children and eleven grandchildren. Butch graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University in May of 1975. Butch retired after 36 years of service from Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc. as Vice President and Engineering Operations Director. He is currently on the Board of Directors for two non-profits- Monterey Foundation and Outside the Walls Ministries (Tova Coffeehouse). He is the Director for Lubbock Power and Light’s Electrical Utility Board, and a Board of Director for Hopi Telecommunications, Inc. and Hopi Utilities Corporation in Flagstaff, AZ as well. Butch’s favorite verse is Romans 5:10, “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life.” Other staff members say Butch’s spiritual gifts are wisdom, leadership, and giving. You can find Butch cruising around Lubbock in his candy apple red 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe.
