ELDER NOMINATION PROCESS

Monterey’s current group of elders recently announced the need and opportunity for the congregation to identify and affirm additional elders to join in the shepherding of this church. An important part of the process is for each member of the congregation to prayerfully submit names for consideration as potential elders. The last day to nominate is Sunday September 11th at 10:00pm. During this process we encourage you to:

Pray Daily
Take some time each day to pray for the Elder selection process.

Reflect on Scripture
Reflect on scripture that focuses on the qualities of leaders whose lives exhibit the spirit of Christ: Philippians 2:1-11; Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9.

Nominate
Submit the names of those you believe possess the spiritual maturity to serve as shepherds of the Monterey church, and state what you see as the Christ-like qualities of those men.
