Shauna Young

Shauna Young has been serving at Monterey since October of 1998 and is one of our Children’s Ministers, doing everything with kids from birth through 5 th grade. She and her husband Doug have three sons, two daughters-in-laws: Grayson and Kendra, with their precious grandson, Kason; Graham and Macy; and Griffin. They also have two Yorkies, Coco and Louie. Shauna graduated from Abilene Christian University with her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She taught Elementary school for 7 years, then worked at Sugar N’ Spice Preschool before working as the Children Minister. Shauna’s favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6. She loves spending time with her family- especially her grandson. She enjoys being home, but really loves going to tropical destinations! Other staff members say Shauna’s spiritual gifts are patience, teaching, and empathy.
